In 2019 the primary school was at risk of being closed by government inspectors because of the dilapidated state of the school buildings.

Green Olive UK trustees applied for a grant from the Kitchen Table Trust which generously agreed to fund the partial rebuild and renovation.
Once the funding was secured, the rebuilding work started very quickly.

Six new classrooms are ready for the children
Six new classrooms and new toilet facilities were constructed on the school site.

The six new classrooms were opened just before the Covid-19 lockdown. The school was renamed the Musingu Quakers Education Centre.

The much needed new toilet block was completed just before the school reopened, providing greatly upgraded sanitary facilities for the children.

The children, staff and parents are all pleased with the new facilities. The school is proving so successful that there is now a waiting list for new admissions.
